This 1/150 scale The Crossing plastic model kit of the steamer Taiping is 535 mm in length, 88 mm in width and 208 mm in height. The kit includes pre-coloured parts and the model is designed to be cement-free for easy assembly. A lighting system is provided. The model comes in a specially designed box to open like a book.
The Taiping is a type of Great Lakes passenger-freight ship made in the American Manitowoc shipyard. It was launched in 1920 and in WWII was used as a short supply ship for U.S forces. On July 14th 1948, it was changed into a passenger ship by Shanghai Zhonglian Company with the carrying capacity of 508 passengers, travelling between Shanghai and Keelung.
