Description
OXFORD BL PRINCESS JADE GREEN
The British Leyland Princess was launched in 1975 as a luxury 4-door saloon designed by BL’s Harris Mann. It came with the option of either a 4-speed manual or 3-speed automatic gearbox and its characteristic wedge shaped front was quite an innovation for its time. It was particularly popular as a high-end vehicle for transporting civic and public dignitaries of the day. It also sported a vinyl roof, faithfully replicated on our 1:76 scale model. For its fifth Oxford appearance, it comes decorated in a bright jade green with a brown ‘vinyl’ roof and black/silver exterior trim. Note particularly the black front grille with silver detail. The interior is brown and our model is registered PVW 620R from 1976/77.The British Leyland Princess was launched in 1975 as a luxury 4-door saloon designed by BL’s Harris Mann.
